I will say “watch the weather forecast” when you go to observatories lol. I made the mistake of going to the metropolitan government building on an extremely overcast day and the cloud cover began at the level of the observatory. We couldnt see far into the distance that day at all.
Thank you for these great tips! I’ll surely be saving your videos as I plan my trip.
Cheers!
I remember watching this a while back and it really helped with my recent trip to Japan, thanks for all your amazing content! 🙂
We went to the Skytree just after the New Year on a weekday and the queue was only about 10 mins. So glad we didn’t have a problem! We must have been very lucky.
90 to 100 minutes for a ride in disneysea isn’t that bad lmao especally if you know how to use the fastpass system, but the biggest trap is probably the merchandise stores just after the gates because you can find better and more quiet stores inside the park
@Vedma Buruxova Disney and Universal theme parks are the best and most visited in the world, and they do attract huge amounts of people. Waiting for 100min to get on a ride is normal in any of them. They’re not your regular cheap county fair
90 minutes isn’t fun but i always find the rides worth it, ~especially~ at disneysea. the indiana jones ride there is my favourite thing ever. i honestly love that place to bits and was surprised when the girls said that it was a trap.
Vedma Buruxova yes they do thats why theres three to seven day passes
@Jerome Lin Of course I haven’t. But tell me, if it takes hours to go to one ride, do people spend several days at the disney park when they first go?
@Vedma Buruxova You obviously never been to Disney.
Maybe I didn’t see the right parts of Akihabara but I preferred Nakano broadway. You get a lot more of the local experience and there’s still anime centered shops (since that’s why most visit Akihabara as a tourist). If you intend on visiting— get a 7-11 meal because they’re so much better than the American ones!
I did like Nakano as well. Akiba was pretty fun and I enjoyed both. I feel like with Akiba you really have to search those buildings for shops you like. I found a music store with tons of old CD’s in the 5th floor of some random building in Akiba and that place was awesome. Nakano is much more accessible though.
Same here, I have found Nakano broadway way cooler and more enjoyable than Akihabara.
I love Akiba, but Nakano has my heart. Im more of a retro anime fan, and it was my paradise. I could die happy in that Sailor Moon section.
Nakano was probably my favorite! The neighborhoods in Nakano-ku are adorable as well
Yeah i didn’t like akiba at all (overhyped and too many booby lady figures for me haha) Nakano all the way!
If I remember correctly… both times I did the sky tree I went halfway and never paid to go to the top (30th floor as you said). I loved the first floor stores personally (went I when it wasn’t too crowded), so I definitely recommend that…
When I was in Tokyo with my father we always walked in the small streets and parks. I loved doing that and it was nice not being amongst all the sound all the time.
My favourite spot is Todoroki Valley near Setagaya. Quiet, secluded spot and free entrance.
My hobby includes urban exploration. So what you did is exactly what I love doing, I can relate to you 100%
Thank you internationally ME!!!! I viewed and enjoyed all your Japan videos of different places and things to do. This helped me in planning my daily activities while I’ll be visiting Japan next week in June 2018!!! SO Excited!
Those queues! D:The worst part about tourist areas is that they are full of other tourists.
@l4kr411 lool
tell me about it! I went to Florida, Orlando last year and when I was on the bus, it was full with English people loool ( I’m English myself)
I had a local friend take me around to the food places in back alleys. Was great to avoid other foreign tourists.
I traveled during Golden Week and the lines weren’t particularly bad, I think many people had left Tokyo to vacation elsewhere.
I like that you’re very honest in your explanations of things. I always appreciate that! Arigato
Thank you so much for such a helpful video! My family and I are planning a trip to Tokyo next year and some of these places were on our list! I’m so glad we won’t be disappointed by them, but what I really appreciate is your “instead of” suggestions! <3 Thank you!
Thank you so very much! I’m going to Japan (and thus also Tokyo) in September, and this helps me a lot planning that trip.
I would like to personally thank you for all the travel advice videos. My boyfriend and me were in Japan for three weeks in April. We were really nervous and was not quite sure to expect. Your videos really help us prepared for our trip and made sure it was a lot smoother. We really enjoyed Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building & would recommend others to check that one out!
watching your videos makes me so happy, would like to hug you! Keep up the good work and stay positive! Thank you for putting so much effort in your videos! ❤️🌸
@IchibanOjousama prove it
@Astral Kvng No it does not
Only in america , boomers get mad when hearing someone speaking spanish or other foreign language in restaurants, shops, etc and they aren’t shy about it, yet expects everyone to speak english when visiting another country, those boomers think they are superior majestical beings
lol maybe it’s because it’s used everywhere?
@haku it is
You ao lucky you live i. Tokyo
The only thing the guys below are collaborating with is themselves.
Who are you lmao
I spent the last 31 days of 2018 in Minamihanahata, Adachi-Ku. It’s a weirdly romantic-seeming city, way more than Paris, London, New York, or Vancouver. The Northern California peninsula has a similar and similarly good vibe to Tokyo, though.
You thirsty fucks… You wanna get laid in Japan easy? Just find a guaru, won’t take long.
The producer of this channel is brighter, wittier, and better looking than most of you.
Even I know Tokyo better than you sexist pigs.
Money ALWAYS talks!!
Vincent Stubbs had a burger there like a typical American 🤦🏻♂️ BUT in my absolute defense I wanted to see how Japanese get down on burgers. 😕it was the best burger I’ve ever had. I left permanently confused
How much was it if you dont mind me asking?
Pro tip
I prefer The scenery of japan at night, Japan is always a city that never sleeps
Agreed! Was wondering why our visit was such a breeze
Also, you can go on a weekday around 11 and the wait is not as long. Around 20 minutes.
After this comment, therr will be more people at night..LoL
Thanks.
